The Alocasia portodora is also known as the ‘elephant ear plant’. This plant is a sun lover so they love a lot of light but no direct sunlight. The perfect spot for this plant would be a bathroom, kitchen or a bedroom. Throughout the warmer months keep the soil moist but not soggy. Don’t allow the plant to completely dry out between waterings. Humidity is key with the portodora, they love to be misted weekly in order to keep the humidity levels up. Another way to keep humidity up is by grouping other plants with the portodora, this will create a tropical temperature for your houseplant.
